The NEURON token, representing one of the 86 billion neurons in the human brain, is central to the Cerebrum DAO ecosystem. These tokens are earned by contributing work, data, intellectual property, or funds to fuel the growth of Cerebrum DAO. The primary goal of the NEURON token is to provide a decentralized governance model and sustainable growth for the network, making it attractive to contributors, entities, enterprises, service providers, and the wider community.

How it works

The NEURON token serves four primary governance purposes: voting on which intellectual property projects receive funding, voting on the terms under which each project can receive funds, voting on key governance matters such as compensation policy and strategic partnerships, and voting on treasury management policies. Initially deployed on the Ethereum Mainnet as an ERC-20 token, the choice of Ethereum provides a robust foundation due to its established ecosystem and widespread adoption.
