The district0x network is a collective of decentralized and autonomous marketplaces and communities, known as districts. These districts are built on a decentralized and distributed open-source framework called the d0xINFRA network, powered by Ethereum smart contracts. The network aims to create a friction-free virtual economy where users can make buying and selling decisions, complete transactions, and rank peers with ease. District0x seeks to develop a flexible and free market with advanced entrepreneurial concepts.

Main features

The District0x infrastructure includes features like a staking interface, allowing DNT holders to control districts through an Aragon governance layer. After creating a district, an Aragon entity is formed for interaction with the staking mechanism, granting voting rights. The creation interface removes central power structures from marketplaces without needing development skills, akin to WordPress for dApps, with districts as templates and auxiliary modules as plugins.

How it works

District0x differs from most coins in its concept and architecture. It uses a staking mechanism, not just a voting token. Staking involves mining PoS coins, allowing early investors to lock tokens to a district and participate in governance. DNT tokens provide voting power and district-specific tokens, enabling decisions on profit distribution and business models. By joining district0x, users receive coins to vote on district proposals and make decisions, with rights varying by district. Users can interact with district functions and services or create their own districts, like Ethlance, the first district, for job postings.
