FABRIC is a synthetic asset issuance protocol built on the Solana blockchain. It allows users to create synthetic assets, which are digital representations of real-world assets. These synthetic assets are collateralized by FAB tokens and other supported collateral tokens, which must be locked in a collateral pool. This process enables the issuance of synthetic assets known as SPL Synthetics.
Main features
One of the main features of FABRIC is that it allows users to interact directly with the protocol without the need for counterparties. This design helps to avoid common issues experienced on traditional exchanges, such as liquidity shortages or slippage problems. Once synthetic assets are minted, they can be traded on the Serum DEX, a decentralized exchange on the Solana network.

The FABRIC protocol operates by requiring users to lock collateral tokens in a pool. These tokens act as a guarantee for the synthetic assets issued. The protocol ensures that all synthetic assets are fully collateralized, maintaining the stability and trustworthiness of the system. Users can then mint SPL Synthetics, which can be freely traded on the Serum DEX, providing a seamless and efficient trading experience.
