OUSG is a tokenized short-term US Treasury bills ETF, managed by Ondo Capital Management, a subsidiary of Ondo Finance. The majority of the portfolio is held in the iShares Short Treasury Bond ETF (NASDAQ: SHV), with a small portion in USDC and USD for liquidity.

OUSG provides exposure to the 'risk-free' US Treasury rate on-chain, offering a stable and predictable return with deep liquidity. It invests in ETFs backed by secure, stable, and liquid securities, similar to those used by major institutions globally.
How it works
OUSG was developed alongside OSTB and OHYG by Ondo Finance, launched in August 2021. Initially, Ondo Vaults and Liquidity-as-a-Service (LaaS) were introduced, but as DeFi yields compressed in 2022, the focus shifted to next-generation protocols. Ondo V2, including tokenized funds, was announced in January 2023. OUSG tokens represent fund ownership for investors who pass KYC and AML screening, allowing them to transfer tokens and engage in financial activities using smart contracts.
