$PURR is the inaugural spot launch on the Hyperliquid Layer 1 platform. It is unique in that there was no initial sale and no planned utility for the token. The total maximum supply of $PURR is capped at 1 billion tokens.

The distribution of $PURR was carried out with 500 million tokens allocated proportionally to points holders. An additional 400 million $PURR, initially deployed as Hyperliquidity (HIP-2), were subsequently burned. This burning process contributes to the deflationary nature of the token.

$PURR operates on a deflationary model where trading fees paid in $PURR are burned, reducing the overall supply over time. This mechanism is designed to potentially increase the value of the remaining tokens as the supply diminishes.
