Quadrant Protocol is a blockchain-based protocol designed to facilitate the access, creation, and distribution of data products and services. It emphasizes authenticity and provenance, providing a blueprint for mapping disparate data sources. The protocol supports proof of data authenticity and provenance through data stamping and the creation of 'Constellations' or data smart contracts.

Main features

Quadrant ensures that data consumers can trust the authenticity of the data they purchase. It compensates 'Nurseries' (Data Producers) fairly whenever their data is used and incentivizes 'Pioneers' (Data Vendors) to create innovative Constellations. The ecosystem is transparent, ensuring companies receive authentic data. Quadrant also enables 'Elons' (bright data minds) to find linkages between different constellations, creating mega Constellations for solving real-world problems.

How it works

Quadrant operates with both centralized and decentralized services, consisting of the core Quadrant blockchain, clients (Data Producer, Data Consumer, and Anchor), and Guardian Nodes. It uses a Proof of Authority consensus mechanism for handling more transactions, operating at lower gas prices, achieving faster transactions, and restricting malicious nodes. An external Proof of Work chain is used for security anchoring, currently utilizing the Ethereum blockchain. Quadrant employs two currencies: eQuad and QUAD. QUAD is a utility token for network use, while eQuad is an ERC-20 token sold during the Token Generation Event, convertible to QUAD upon the mainnet launch.
