Zero is a distributed Social Operating System designed for the Web3 environment. It facilitates communication, collaboration, financial transactions, and onchain governance directly between content creators, developers, and users, collectively referred to as Members. This system operates independently of third parties, thereby eliminating the possibility of censorship at the code level and significantly reducing the risk of security breaches and data violations.

Main features

Zero shifts data ownership, platform incentives, and governance to individual Members, communities, and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). The platform is powered by its native protocol token, Infinity, which allows Members to buy and sell hosting power within the Zero Grid. This Grid is a distributed peer-to-peer network entirely managed by Zero Members. Infinity provides a cryptographic incentive similar to Bitcoin mining, encouraging Members to secure, maintain, and expand the Zero Grid, thus creating long-term value for network participants.

How it works

The Zero Open System (zOS) includes several key technologies such as the Zero Name Service (ZNS), zDAO, zChain, Ethereum, and Filecoin/IPFS, which together form the Zero Stack. This combination results in a fully decentralized, hyper-scalable, and self-governing alternative to centralized social networks, societal systems, and internet platforms.
