Can I delete my Tangem Pay account?

Yes. You can request to close your Tangem Pay account by contacting support.

Before deletion, you’ll need to withdraw any remaining balance. Once closed, your card will be deactivated and access to Tangem Pay features will be revoked. Data may be stored for the duration required to satisfy statutory, regulatory or compliance obligations, as required by applicable laws, after the deletion of the account.

What happens to my personal data when I use Tangem Pay?

Personal information obtained during onboarding (such as name, ID, and verification documents) is collected and processed by our regulated compliance partners (in compliance with regulatory requirements). These partners handle identity verification and store such information securely in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory obligations.

What information is shared when I make a payment?

When you make a purchase, transaction details are shared with the merchant and Visa which includes:

  • Date
  • Amount
  • Merchant name
  • Cardholder name (and respective User ID)
  • Card identifier (e.g. last 4 digits)

Nonetheless, the merchant and Visa may have regulatory obligations (for example, based on Travel Rule, Bank Secrecy Act, and others) that will require them to have access to additional information collected during the onboarding.
