What is the Tangem Ring made of?

The Tangem Ring is made of zirconium dioxide, a robust ceramic substance commonly utilized in dental crowns, joint implants, and as a thermal barrier coating (TBC) in jet and diesel engines to facilitate operation under extreme temperatures.

Zirconia can exhibit a hardness up to four times that of stainless steel, making it significantly more resilient to everyday wear and tear, especially in resisting scratches.

Can the Tangem Ring be engraved?

The Tangem Ring is crafted from zirconia, a sturdy ceramic material. However, any changes or modifications to the ring are done at your own risk. 

We advise against engraving or altering the ring in any way, as this could compromise its integrity. The ring cannot be returned or exchanged, so please handle it with love and care. It's not just a piece of jewelry, but something to be cherished forever.

Can I purchase just the Ring without the backup cards?

No, the Tangem Ring is sold in a set with two cards required to create a backup. The number of devices in a set (2 or 3) reflects the number of copies of your private key that can exist. If any device is lost or stolen, backup copies will help you restore access to your wallet.
