To scan a Tangem card/ring, place it against the top of your iPhone until it scans. When you tap Scan, an animation will show you how to properly set the wallet against the phone.
To ensure successful scanning, consider the following recommendations:
1. Using a smartphone case may make scanning difficult.
We recommend removing the case from your phone and scanning the wallet again. Cases, especially thick or metal ones, can block the NFC signal needed for scanning.
2. Remove the wallet while entering the access code.
To avoid errors, remove the wallet from the phone when entering the access code. After entering the code, place it back in the phone when the scanning window opens.
3. Reboot the smartphone device.
In extreme cases, allow the phone's temperature to drop and restart it. This will reset all active processes and resolve temporary NFC glitches.
4. Ensure that no other NFC devices are near your phone's NFC module.
Other NFC devices, such as credit cards in your phone case, may interfere with scanning. Remove all foreign objects from the NFC coverage area to ensure correct scanning.
5. Scan the ring.
To scan the ring, remove it from your finger and place it near the top of the smartphone's back panel, next to the camera. Please note that the Tangem app and the scan window must be open.

Step 1: Check NFC support on your phone
Ensure your smartphone supports NFC. Not all of them have an NFC module, though most do support this function.
Step 2. Find the NFC module
The NFC antenna may be located in different places on your smartphone, depending on its brand and model.

Step 3: Position the Tangem Wallet
Bring the card/ring to your mobile device's NFC module as close as possible. Ensure no obstacles are between the wallet and the smartphone's NFC module that could interfere with scanning.

Step 4: Hold to Scan
Do not remove the card/ring from your smartphone until the scan is complete; you might hear a beep or see a visual indicator on your screen.
Step 5: After the scan is completed, keep the card/ring away from the phone
Place the Tangem device next to your phone only when the Tangem app requests it and the scan window is open. Do not hold the card/ring next to the phone while entering the access code. We do not recommend storing the card in a phone case.
