Using Mobile Wallet

How can I tell if I am using a Mobile Wallet or a Hardware Wallet?

If you are using a Mobile Wallet, you will see the Mobile Wallet label on the wallet home screen under the total balance.

If you are using a Hardware Wallet, the app will display the number of Tangem devices linked to the wallet.

Is there a limit to how many mobile wallets I can have in one app?

No. There is no limit to the number of Tangem Mobile Wallets you can create and manage within a single Tangem app.

How can I change the access code in Tangem Mobile Wallet?

You can change your access code in the Tangem app settings:

  1. Open the Tangem app on your phone.
  2. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select the wallet.
  4. Tap Change access code.
  5. Enter and confirm a new 6-digit access code.

Changing the access code affects only app access and does not impact your private keys or wallet addresses.

Can I use Tangem Pay with Tangem Mobile Wallet?

Yes. Tangem Pay can be used with a Tangem Mobile Wallet, provided the feature is available in your region. However, the Mobile Wallet must be backed up before you can use Tangem Pay.

Are there limits on how much I can store in a Tangem Mobile Wallet?

No. There are no storage limits specific to Tangem Mobile Wallet. You can store any amount as with a Tangem Hardware Wallet. Your balance is not limited by the wallet type.

Are there limits on buying, selling, or swapping assets with a Tangem Mobile Wallet?

No. There are no limits specific to Tangem Mobile Wallet. Buying, selling, and swapping limits are the same as for Tangem Hardware Wallet.

Any applicable limits depend on the service or provider used (for example, third-party on-ramps or swap providers), not on the type of Tangem Wallet.

How do I confirm a transaction with a Tangem Mobile Wallet when using WalletConnect?

When using Tangem Mobile Wallet with WalletConnect, transactions are confirmed directly in the app using your access code or biometric authentication (such as Face ID).

A Tangem device is not required for transaction confirmation when using a Mobile Wallet. Additional confirmation methods, such as tap-and-hold, are planned to be added in future updates.
